Another change....

It's been a long time, and time for another change

How to do it all, or most of it.?

Much of the common wisdom lately is to build a community around the work I get to do and the experiences I get to have out there in the world of freelance photography. Well the reality is that there’s a lot of moving parts, invoicing, sales, contracts, staying creative, travel, filming BTS, shooting assignments, and on and on. Most of it is boring, and not worth sharing.

The idea of a newsletter seemed like a great idea, but the truth is, it is one more thing. Yeah, I think it’s worth it but it’s one more thing to pile on the to-do list.

Sooooo, I’ve jumped over to Substack to make this process more streamlined and a little easier on my end. I’d love to have you jump over there and follow along. The format is a bit different but I’m still the same. I’ll keep it to a minimum and promise to only send periodically.

Adventure of the week

Raindrops on my pants as Molly works her way up Black Crack on Cathedral Ledge. A perfect after work creative session with friends.

I wrote a bit about this over on my substack. Mostly about how great it is to have friends willing to climb, trail run or hike here in the valley so I can create images and get creative. I find it more and more important to get out and shoot some stuff that isn’t related to an assignment or client project. So that’s what this was.

The gallery is up on my website if you want to take a peek.

An Org Worth Checking Out

I’ll miss this section, so many good orgs out there pushing to make the world a better place one step at a time. I’ll find a way to continue shining some light on these great people and orgs.

People

Alexa Seigel - Vice-chair of Mountain Rescue Service, climber, nurse, and great belayer.:)

Dusting One Off - Into the Archive

Me, dragging a SUP through low-tide in a mud flat in Turks & Caicos….. not my best thought out plan. Photo but my son Alex.

I love fly fishing, I don’t spend alot of time planning and this photo proves it.

If you’ve read this far send me a note. I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas for more projects, other orgs out there, and adventures you’re doing or planning. Hope to see you over at Substack.
